Washington County garbage rate increase effective August 1, 2010
Washington County customers only: we would like to inform you of new garbage and recycling collection rates that went into effect August 1, 2010. These rate increases are due to increased costs for garbage disposal, yard debris recycling and other inflationary costs associated with providing collection service. These collection rates were last increased in 2006. The Washington County Board of Commissioners approved the rates on July 27, 2010.
Your account number has changed...
Very important! As of April 29, 2010, we converted to a new software system that has new account numbers associated with it. If you use online banking to pay your bill, you will need to edit your payee information. If you do not update your payee information to reflect your new account number, your payment will be received by us, but may not be credited to your Walker Garbage account number. *
Your new account number will be on your next bill. Please make a note of it and use it to update your online account. When calling, emailing, or making any other contact with us, please refer to your new account number.
If paying by check, it is very important to send your payment stub back with your check so we post your payment to the correct account. If your service address is not already clearly printed on your check, please write it in the memo line.
NOTE: If you pay your bill through Walker Garbage Service Auto-debit withdrawal, you do NOT have to update your account number with us. It will automatically be updated through our system.
